Where's the Beef?

Hey all you locals...
First, go watch "Food, Inc." When you are properly disgusted and wanting to change all of your eating habits forever, let me know.

We want to buy a cow.

Not a live one. But one that has been treated with love and respect and fed grass and not hormones. Then we will find some nice, kind butcher to cut it up for us. The problem is one cow is a bit too much for us to eat alone, so we need someone to share the cow with us. Kayla is the one that introduced me to this idea and she is game but we need a few more families! Let me know!!

Just remember that the beef you are buying from the store has been pumped with hormones and washed in ammonia and may contain e coli. Food for thought.

I wonder if we can get some chickens, too.

I've talked to Quin and we may want to do the cow thing. Need info about pricing first, though.

I would SO have chickens if I could! But the clothesline is as far as I can go to flout the HOA rules. Don't think I can make a case for the chickens.

If you aren't ready to do the cow thing, you might check to see if you have a good butcher in town. We've got a great one that only has grass fed / good quality meat. The taste is sooooo much better than regular supermarket stuff.
